Situated in the middle of Wasdale, approximately one mile from the end of Wastwater. The Sundial Cottage is so named from the Victorian sandstone sundial in the garden. Set in ten acres of landscape garden, woodland and fields, with the River Irt running through the grounds, it offers spectacular views of the Wasdale Screes and the surrounding peaks, providing an ideal base for walking, climbing, or simply relaxing in exceptionally peaceful surroundings.
